Types of FSSAI Registration in Delhi
There are 3 types of FSSAI registration in Delhi, which are as follows:
• FSSAI Basic Registration
This license is issued by the state Government to companies who has an annual turnover of Rs.12 lakh and is given to small manufacturers, transporters, storage units, marketers, and distributors.
• FSSAI State Registration
All FBOs (Food Business Operator) whose annual turnover is above Rs.12 lakh but below Rs.20 crore should apply for FSSAI State Registration in Form-B.
• FSSAI Central Registration
All FBOs (Food Business Operator) whose annual turnover is above Rs.20 crore should apply for FSSAI Central Registration in Form-B.

Procedure for FSSAI Registration in Delhi
FBOs (Food Business operators) can acquire FSSAI registration through online by filling and submitting the FSSAI registration form, i.e. Form A (Application for Registration) or Form B (Application for State and Central License) on the FoSCoS portal- https://foscos.fssai.gov.in/. The FBOs (Food Business operator) can also register offline by submitting Form A or Form B to the Food and Safety Department.
The FSSAI registration form must be accompanied by the prescribed documents. The documents must be uploaded online on the FoSCos portal while filling the application or submitting to the Food and Safety Department physically.
The FSSAI registration form within 7 days from the date of receipt of an application can be accepted or may be rejected by the Department. If the application is been rejected, the applicant has to be intimated in writing.
The Department will inspect the documents submitted throughly.
Before granting the FSSAI registration certificate, if required by the Department they may conduct an inspection of the food premises, If the Department is satisfied that the FBO (Food Business operators) meets all the required criteria, then it will grant an FSSAI registration certificate along with the registration number and the photo of the applicant email ID. The FSSAI registration certificate can also be downloaded by logging into the FoSCoS portal.
FBOs (Food Business operators) should notably display the certificate of FSSAI registration at the place of business during business hours.
Penalties for not obtaining the FSSAI Registration
The provisions relating to offenses and penalties are specified under section 48. Penalties are mentioned from Sections 49-67 of the FSSAI Act.
